Youth Troupe
The Twin Beach Players Youth Troupe
(TBPYT) are students in the 1st through 12th grade who are interested in
learning about and are involved in all aspects of the theater, from acting to
collecting props, helping with costumes, running lights and sound, and to
possibly being stage manager!
As a non-profit organization, this corporation is organized
exclusively for educational and literary purposes. In other words, if you have a
requirement in school to obtain community service credit or a school project
where you would like to work in conjunction with the TBP, talk to your teacher
about your idea and then contact any Board of Director of the TBP. TBP
encourages participation by children of all ages. We mentor children interested
in performing or supporting live theatre.
Annual Membership in the TBPYT is only $5.00. Your membership will
give you opportunities to participate in workshops at a lower cost or in some
cases free, fun theater activties planned out throughout the year, an
opportunity to perform or be involved in productions, and even trips to other
theaters.
So invite your friends and join in on the fun both on-stage and
backstage. As a member you will have an opportunity (at the discretion of the
Board of Directors or the general membership) to vote on matters put to vote by
the general membership. However, you must be a Regular Member (age 17 and older)
to vote in the elections of directors or on changes to the Bylaws.
TBPYT members will be personally notified about upcoming auditions
and events. Just because some of our productions require actors whom are older
than 17 does not mean you cannot participate in the production. You will have an
opportunity to support the production backstage. It is a great opportunity to
learn what it takes to put on a show and run a theater. We offer you great life
skills!
