RETURN TO THE FORBIDDEN PLANET - Summer 2011

Shakespeare’s play The Tempest, updated and set in outer space about a scientific research spaceship, with a robot and an evil scientist, set to music such as Good Vibrations, Young Girl, Monster Mash and Great Ball Of Fire. Forbidden Planet won the coveted Olivier Award for Best Musical in London and was just revived this past summer here in the US to critical acclaim.

Join us for our sixth year of celebrating our kids and their talents! The KPF features the winners of our youth playwriting contest. The judges pick six winning plays and they are performed by our youth troupe.

This faithful adaptation of the novel by Bram Stoker follows Jonathan Harker as he embarks to Transylvania to meet a mysterious count to purchase various properties in and around London. Once there, Harker realizes that his eccentric host, Count Dracula is more than he seems…It is up to an obsessed vampire hunter to stop the demonic man before he turns the women and children of London into his “children of the night.”
